After attending Portland State University for undergraduate education, Dr. Yu attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she received both her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The DAOM represents the highest formal educational credential available in the United States.
The advanced skills Dr. Yu has acquired both clinically and in research are used to the benefit of her patients. She approaches each patient as an individual, taking the time to develop a treatment plan that is specific to his or her needs. Patients are treated for chronic or acute issues ranging from pain, emotional imbalance, stress, digestive problems, women’s health concerns, fertility, seasonal allergies to weight problems.
Dr Yu’s practice focuses on helping her patients achieve and maintain their optimal health through acupuncture, herbology, diet and nutrition. Her treatments restore and strengthen the patient; increasing the body’s self-healing ability and bringing the patient back to a state of harmony. Dr. Yu believes in healing the body through natural ways. In her leisure time, Dr. Yu enjoys playing music, especially duets with her son. She also enjoys camping and cherishes the daily walk with her dog at the end of each day.
